.

Following months of rumours, Moto Morini unveils its new X-Cape for maximum adventure and long journeys.

Says the GM of Moto Morinim Alberto Monni “For 2024, the range will be joined by a Euro5+ version of our long-lived CorsaCorta 1200cc V-twin engine with full electronic capability including ride-by-wire, a choice of riding modes, and traction control,”

After and absence of a number of years, Moto Morini returns to the 1 litre class with two bikes – the Milano and X-Cape 1200. It is an evolution of the previous V-twin with an87 degree layout and 1187 cc Corsa Corta Evo V2, and now meets Euro5+ requirements. It boasts 93 kW which is down from the previous 104 kW. To adjust to varying riding conditions, it is possible to choose between 4 riding modes.

The X-Cape is an all new adventure bike. It has a tubular steel trellis frame, long suspension travel (170 mm in front and 160mm at the back) and a spoked 19/17-inch wheels. Brembo monoblock calipers on twin 320mm discs at the front and a fixed caliper at the rear with a 280mm disc.
The motorcycle’s feature list includes cruise control, a seven-inch TFT with integrated navigation, shift assist and traction control – all aimed at the comfort of the long distance tourer. Safety assistance systems include a blind spot radar sensor.

Full-LED headlights are enhanced with cornering lights that increase the field of vision when driving at night.

In terms of body design, a wide fairing, without a beak, with a skid plate, is shaped to expel hot air away from the rider. The high fairing provides adequate aerodynamic protection even at high speeds.
